Hedge Calculator
Your parlay is one leg away or your futures bet is live: see how much to put on the other side to guarantee a profit.
Using the hedge calculator
Enter the original stake and odds, then the odds now available on the other side. The calculator works out the hedge stake that pays the same whatever happens.
You give up part of the top payout in exchange for a sure result. The table shows both outcomes so the trade is plain to see.
Hedging is most useful on the last leg of a parlay and on futures, like a team reaching the final.
Example: A $50 parlay pays $600 if the last NFL game goes your way. With the other side at 2.10, a $286 hedge leaves you about $264 up whichever team wins.
Questions people ask
When should I hedge?
When a sure, smaller profit matters more to you than the chance of the full payout, usually with a big ticket one result away.
Does hedging cost money?
In expected value, a little, because you pay the margin twice. In return you remove the risk.
Can I hedge part of the bet?
Yes. A smaller stake on the other side keeps more upside and still cushions a loss.
Is cash out the same as hedging?
It works the same way, but the book sets the price. Comparing it with a hedge at better odds often pays.
